Our Story
Caring for Gau Mata in Guntur Since 1938
For more than 85 years, Guntur Gosamrakshana Sangham has given cows and orphan calves a safe home, daily fodder and loving care.
Who We Are
Guntur Gosamrakshana Sangham is a society registered in 1938โ39 under the Societies Registration Act, 1860. Our gaushala in Guntur, Andhra Pradesh, is known to many people simply as Guntur Gosala.
Today the gaushala is home to more than 900 cows and orphan calves. Each one is fed, sheltered and looked after every day by our dedicated caretakers, with the support of our donors and well-wishers.
The work of the Sangham has always rested on one simple belief: every cow deserves care, kindness and dignity.

How It All Began
The Sangham was registered as a society in 1938โ39. Since then, generations of people in Guntur have kept its work going, so that the cows in its care are never left without food or shelter.
What We Believe
Gau Seva Is a Sacred Duty
In our tradition the cow is honoured as Gau Mata. Serving her is seva, an offering made with devotion.
Every Cow Matters
Old, sick or orphaned, every cow and calf at the gaushala receives the same care and attention.
Care with Dignity
Clean shelter, timely fodder, fresh water and medical care, every single day.

Our Gaushala Today
Our cows and calves live in covered sheds with fodder troughs, where they are fed green fodder and feed through the day. On special days, donors offer fruit and vegetables as a feast for the whole herd.
Sick and injured cows are given medicines and treatment, and orphan calves are looked after until they grow strong.
Be Part of This Seva
Your seva helps us feed, shelter and care for every cow at Guntur Gosala.
